Perfectly thick, chewy, quick and simple Homemade AllergenFree Pizza Dough recipe requires no yeast and very few ingredients. From kneading the dough to baking, this homemade gluten & dairy free pizza is ready in 30 minutes.
I developed this recipe when I did not have any yeast and I could not add any eggs to the recipe either to make it soft. However, if you would like it more softer use yeast as required.
Making the Gluten Free Pizza Dairy Free.
There are two elements to making this dough dairy free.
Dairy Free Pizza Dough
- Use oil in the dough as I have, or
- dairy free butter substitute – remember to adjust the quantity if you are substituting the oil with the butter.
Dairy Free Pizza Topping
- Use your favourite dairy free brand – I use cheddar flavour, my kids do not like the mozzarella flavour.
- Leave the cheese out altogether if you do not like dairy free cheeses.
What kind of gluten free all purpose flour mix to use?
I made this dough with gluten free all purpose flour that was based on rice flour as well as bean flour. The rice flour blend was the favourite in our household. I find the all purpose flour mixes that use bean or coconut flour tend to have a distinct flavour or leave an aftertaste.
Rolling out the Homemade AllergenFree Pizza Dough
When rolling out this dough, I found it better to hand stretch than doing it with a roller pin. It prevented the dough from breaking. I divided and rolled the dough out to make two mini pizza bases but you can keep them it whole and make one large pizza.
Toppings For Homemade AllergenFree Pizza Dough
Use my Homemade Spicy Tomato Sauce (hosted on an old blog address) as pizza sauce with this recipe. Top it with your choice of toppings and bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese melts.

We always enjoy finding dairy free recipes! Our son loves his pizza with just olive oil and some vegan cheese. But would like to circle back and try with that tomato sauce you linked to along with maybe the cheddar you mentioned.
